Formed in 2006 by John Shaw & Jim Lomas, Blackpool Music School offers the community of Blackpool and the wider Fylde area the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument with minimal cost.
We offer affordable memberships for any age from 7 years upwards. We provide a variety of different memberships including keyboard, piano, saxophone, drums, band, singing, music theory, guitar and many more.
We endeavour to keep our costs minimal, which allows us to offer high-value-for-money memberships for those with low incomes, disabilities, or those from disadvantaged backgrounds

Blackpool Music School, as registered charity, operates on a membership basis. Students can use the music rooms for practice, subject to availability and conditons, and access a large library of musical instruments and equipment. Memberships offer numerous benefits, as music can evoke various emotions and inspire motivation.
We offer daytime and evening sessions, weekly in 30-minute and 1-hour lengths (band). We provide a variety of instruments for students (contact us for details) to use and learn with. Tuition can be either on-site, or in the comfort of your own home (limited availability).
